Alcohol: aged

  • Depending on the jurisdiction we all have to wait until a specified age before we can consume alcohol but did you ever consider that certain alcohols have to wait even longer before they’re old enough to be consumed?!?
  • The essential reason for aging alcohols is to change the character of the liquid for the better. Note to the wise; only beer and wine continue to age once they’ve been bottled.  A 12-year old Scotch that has been sitting on a shelf for 10 years is still a 12-year old Scotch.
  • Alcoholic beverages that are known to improve with age include wine, Scotch, brandy, port, whiskey, bourbon, cognac, and tequila.

Gift Idea above not quite right? How about one of these?
